I Have a Toshiba labtop the system crashed and I reloaded Win95,and now I can get my cd rom to work. I loaded the configuration disk and it told me to load some things in the Autoexec.bat and config.sys file and I don't know how to do it. It also will only allow me to start using safe mode. You have to edit the config so that it will contain a line that looks like this:
device={path}oakcdrom.sys /mscd001 (or whatever cd device driver you need to use)
Also in your autoexec.bat you will need to have a corrisponding line that looks like this:
{path}mscdex /d:mscd001
you can put these in the files by using the edit command at the DOS prompt or by using "sysedit" in windows.
