    Post Restore Default Services

I would like to restore the Services back to what they were when Win2K was first installed. Is there a listing somewhere of what services were installed and what thier were at the time? (Disabled, Automatic, etc.). Or, is there a way to bring everything back to normal? I am fairly new with Win2K, and only the tiniest of experience with NT. I'm in deep water here, I know, but... I'll either sink or swim.

    Thanks,

    Charlie

When you boot, hit f8 and select setup default services, I forget the exact name but it is something to that effect. Hope this helps.

    Thanks for the reply.
With that I was able to get into Safe Mode, but my problem still persists. The main problem I am having is when I click into a search field or text field (such as this one I'm typing in right now), type my characters, then click the submit button, IE will hang for about 100 to 120 secs before it goes on. I checked my event viewer and I will post it here:

You could boot of the cd or floppies and do a repair install or some other option, I don't know if that will reinstall everything, but I would do it at last resort. Hope this helps.
