Novell Open Suse 10.3
Hi Everyone
I just loaded open suse 10.3. I connect the usb removable drive which has a NTFS partition & that works. The problem im having is when connecting an IDE drive with a NTFS partition, doesn't show the drive at all. Any suggestions?

We can assume this is a drive with it's jumpers configured as a slave?

You'll have to do some Googling or similar - many people have issues and expected 10.3 to solve the IDE problem. Seems to be chipset dependant.
You can try setting some Bios stuff to AHCI instead of IDE - I also read just using a Sata drive instead of Pata (IDE) was effective.

The drive is set at cable select. I also changed it to Master. in the bios on boot it picks up as a secondary master but stil nothing. I used it in the USB drive & it picked up

I was told that there is a software that can be loaded to view the ntfs partition in novell but couldn't seem to find a package.
