    Post Windows 2000 IRQL error

I have a Sony VAIO PCG-F610 running Windows 2000, along with a Linksys 10MBps USB network adapter. When I am transferring files via a network, sometimes I get a blue screen error that says "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" and I can't seem to get rid of this problem.

This used to happen when I opened up NetMeeting, but it doesn't do that anymore. Does ANYONE have a solution? If so, please help! I'm desperate!

have you loaded service pack 1 yet? if not, do so first, this may take care of the problem. You may also want to try posting this in the win2k forum if sp1 does not fix the issue as I do not believe this to be a problem with the notebook itself. Not that you will not recieve any further assistance here, just that the win2k forum would probably yeild more answers than here.
