    Post upgrade versa !

    just wondering,
    can one upgrade a nec laptop versa series.
    Probably can't do much apart from the ram etc
    Though worth a note i thought appreciated.

    Besides the ram & Hard drive, nothing much else you can upgrade on those, if I'm not mistaken.

    pretty much the same across the board for all notebooks, ram, hdd, and add a pcmcia card or two

    If you have a removable cd/fdd you may be able to upgrade to a LS120/zip/dvd/cdrw/second hdd

    You can replace the RAM and HDD - and if it uses a slot (not soldered) mobile P2 CPU you may be able to replace the CPU, however you will need to check the manufacturer specs tp see what your laptop can support AND DO NOT OVERCLOCK.

    depends where you get the hard drives. I have an old laptop on my bench still that requires a new hard drive. Its a 3.2g drive. the first one I found was from Toshiba for a price of $580, then our purchasing agent found a 10g fujitsu for $180 from one of our vendors.
