Win 2000

I tried to install win 2000 on my laptop,it went through the motions of installation but on final re-boot my screen is blank although laptop is still running.?????Laptop is a "Time" only a year old.

Ok...stupid question..did you power off and then back up again? Could be just a simple hang or then again how old is the laptop and did you verify hardware/bios compatibility with win2k prior to the install?

sounds like a buggered video driver. start it in vga mode and change the display back to regular vga adapter. once you get everything else up and running (modem or NIC), go and grab the proper win2k drivers for your display adapter.

Its gotta be video card. When it starts to boot enter last known good.
