Laptop Reboots itself?
The laptop in question is a Compaq 1520 (P133), and it only reboots itself if it is in a docking base. The machines hard disk died last year and a replacement was installed and Windows 98 loaded on it. It works fine when not in a docking base, but after it is inserted in one and all the hardware detected, it reboots and attempts to load Windows but just before the GUI interface loads, it reboots itself. It loads up into Safe mode fine when in the docking base, and all the drivers seem to be installed and all devices are working correctly. Anyone got any ideas what might be its problem, thanks?

I've seen these types of problems before which were fixed by updating the bios. Don't know if you did that already, but if it is an Armada 1520, go to this link & make sure to download all updated drivers & bios. Good luck! http://www5.compaq.com/support/files...e/4_887.html#8
