Sony vaio PCG-Z505LS
Windows ME

Well, I tried disabling the power management features in the Sony BIOS. To no avail. I also disabled the screen saver in the Displays control panel.

Here's what I did and the results:

1) Disabled Power Management in Sony Bios.
2) Disabled Power Management in software.
3) Reconfigured Display settings.
4) Looked for updated display driver (as it is using the Default 1024x768
flat panel driver). Sony doesn't have a driver listed.
5) Attached an external monitor to see if it comes back on after wake. It doesn't.

Result:
Computer still will not wake properly from suspend or hibernate modes. The
computer seems to wake, but the display remains dark. You can get the computer
to sleep again by pulling the power slider on the right side of the laptop. But
it is effectively useless at this point and you must force it to reboot.

HEELLLPPP!
