Shutdown problem in WinME
Hello,
I'm troubleshooting a WinME machine that restarts whenever shutdown is selected. I came up empty on Microsoft's Knowledge Base so I thought I'd give this a shot. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks...

Long shot,,, is the update for the fast shut down installed.
I am not sure if this corrects the problem but there is an update that allows Me or 98 98se,a slight delay before shutting down so the system can save any info into its cache

Right Diehrd, the problem is mostly with the new faster processors (1Ghz+) where the processor will complete and shut down before the memory has completed writing to the disk. The fast shut down patch worked for me and I've had clean shutdowns sence...give it a try, won't hurt. <IMG SRC="smilies/wink.gif" border="0">
