Slow Boot Up
When I start my computer, a window appears
and states, " Enter your network password for
Microsoft Networking " . Domain is workgroups and password is blank. I click ok
only and my next screen states, " No domain server was available to validate your password. You may not be able to gain access to some network resourses.
Looking to get rid of these screens so My boot up is much faster.

If you dont need any network log on right click my network places select properties about half way down the window that appears there is a drop down that says something loke primary logon in that drop down select windows log on and click apply and ok. You will probably have to reboot but that should take care of everything

sorry, maybe im a little thick.. could you explain this problem a bit more clearly..
when you log on you get a domain dropdown?
if this is correct, and you have no need for this ; goto network (control panel) and d-click it.
find microsoft networking and highlight
click the properties button
remove any ticks or domain names
click "quick logon"
click ok twice
it will request a reboot, do so.
if it still does it or this is not the prob, come back to us with more info...

Ok right click on your network neighbor hood. Go to properties. Highlight Client for Microsoft networks and double click with your left mouse button, remove the check that says log onto MS Nt domain. that should help.

This article describes how to ACTIVATE the domain-logon... so the key must be deleted instead...
My friends PC had a key LMLogon under the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon" that had to be deleted (it has mainly the same function)
check it out - if you're unsure (even if not) save the registry before changing (or just write down the keys you've changed)
