Resolved [RESOLVED] All cd's recognized as Audio

I just bought a couple games for my system: Half-Life and Kingpin: Life Of Crime. Both of these games utilize redbook/cd-audio. When I tried to install these games, my cdrom (a no-name OEM part 24x) couldn't recognize the data on the cd's and just showed only the audio tracks on the CD. I went back and got a new copy of both of the games thinking the discs were defective, but the CDROM still won't read the data. What can I do to remedy this problem?

Have you installed bus-mastering drivers on your pc? If yes, try removing it!

Sounds to me that you have to replace your CD-ROM unit with a better and branded one.
I've replaced lots of Creative ones at work, having the same problem.

    Good luck.
