new virus???
Is it possible to have a virus in the bios? my pc has ben "singing" happy birthday" on and off for a while now. I have already put in a new hard drive so it's not that. It starts the song as soon as you turn on the pc. I couldn't find any info on this and of course virus scans haven't found anything.
Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks. I wasn't sure if this was the same thing because it doesn't stop even after typing anything. It usually lasts for days. I don't use the pc too much....it gets on my nerves!!
I'll have to check, but I thought it was an award bios (unless it is the same thing)
Another Q: Would it be best to get another Bios or flash the current one. It is a few years old (I've never flashed it before). But I want to goes away!
How does it get onto a pc?

Just flash it and you will be fine.
There are detailed instructions for flashing that come with each program. I would look on your motherboard manufaturer's site for it.
