Has anyone tried AVG anivirus free edition?

i've been using AVG for some time now and installed it on many customers systems. so far i am very happy with it. free and automatic updates...how can you go wrong?

I've been using AVG for a while with Win2K with no problems.

I use the free version, and I haven't had any problems either.

I also use it , both in DOS format -on cd , before i work on a customers computer i run this , and i also keep a copy (free- complete with p/word)which i load on customers machines if asked.
all that is req then is to log onto there website and d/load latest definitions.
Remember its FREE .

we are about to go to that on all pc workstations for the school dist I work for. It all seemd fine, except for when a update stalled, it stoped all attachments for most of the day.

It's a great program. Any system I build gets that coupled with zonealarm for customer security needs. They love the fact that they get virus protection and firewall for free.
it just makes sense.

Yeah, I use it on one or two of the systems here. I've never seen it pick anything up, but then I always seem to be lucky at not picking up as many viruses as the next person anyway.
Incidently, not had any spam as a result of using it.
I'm in charge and I say we blow it up
