    Exclamation Cisco IOS Software Download

    Hi All,

I have a Cisco 1601 Router that i need to reinstall an IOS software image.

The current config has gone all screwy and is not reading the Flash Card to boot, and is coming up with the ROUTER_NAME(boot)# prompt.

Does any one know where i can download the IOS software without going to Cisco???

I need this ASAP.........The router was purchased only two months ago.

    Any help much appreciated.

Hi Damon. Sorry for asking, but why not go via Cisco? If your router is legit, contact them, supply your router info and they'll give you access to the download (I'm sure you know this).
It's a good idea to always save your configs to a safe location in order to TFTP them back onto your router. (I'm sure you know this too?)
Sorry I can't help you otherwise.

You have to go through Cisco other than that I'm fairly sure you are doing something illegal. If its only two months old call Cisco TAC and they will help you.

FYI My company does not sell any Cisco equipment without also selling a SmartNet contract which allows for technical support in situations like this as well as IOS downloads.
