Resolved [RESOLVED] ftp port 21 conflicting with loopback address???!!!??

ok I was trying to set up an FTP server one day and I noticed that it wouldn't let me set it up on the default port which is 21. So I did some investigating and found out that port 21 was being used by the lookback address which is 127.0.0.1 don't ask me why but it is and I don't want it to so is there a way of disableing this? if it helps I have cable internet going into a router and to a win2kpro and win98 machine. I want to run the ftp off of win2k and that is the machine that I am haveing the problems on. I can try setting it up on the other machine to see if it is possibly the router but its to late in the day to do that now so ill post what happens with that later.

I'm not sure But check the router and the Proxy Port settings.

Also try to connect in PASSIVE mode

    Question

Ok I know that the port for it is open through my router and I don't think there are any other settings that have to deal with this. And how would I go about trying to connect in passive mode?
