Resolved [RESOLVED] Multiple TCP/IP settings in WIN95

I am looking for a utility that allows me to switch all TCP/IP settings on the fly without rebooting. Is such a utility available? Any reccomendations? Cost is not a critical issue, but freeware would be great!

You can always change your tcp/ip settings, do not reboot and run winipcfg and do a release/renew to accept the changes.

I am looking for a util for you - I saw one on download.com or tucows.com - can't remember which.

    You dont need one.
Many times i have changed them not rebooted and worked fine.

Once i shut off put in a nic, set it up put in tcp/ip ipx and netbui configed all, not rebooted and all worked for net and ipx gaming. windows only wants you to reboot.

I guess I should refine my original posting. What I need is a utility that allows end-users to click on a desktop icon (or a simple popup program) and switch the IP configuration without having to mess around with retyping the IP information (gateways, IP addresses etc.) Keep in mind this is for end users that have little or no experience with settings. The application actually involves switching back and forth between a gateway to a WAN and an internet router. Obviously retyping all this info each time would be a real pain, as would rebooting. Hope this clears up my problem.

I tried the links provide, but it seems that a reboot is required with them. Is there a utility available that does not require a reboot?

Use the Windows Scripting Host to change TCP/IP settings, and do an automated release/renew. You can find the docs on the WSH on Microsofts web site.
