    Post Workgroup Login

I just set two computer up to form a workgroup. One of them is a Win2k Prof. and the other is a NT4 workstation. On the NT4 every time I logon it says my profile has not been loaded successfully and the default profile has been loaded. This machine was on a domain before but I switched it to a workgroup and I have checked to make sure it is not looking for a profile on another computer. Can anyone tell me why this might be happening?

    Take a look at
    http://support.microsoft.com/support.../Q161/3/34.ASP
for lots (more than enough in fact) of info about profiles.

The other option is to log on as an admin.
Go to system, locate and edit the user profile exhibiting this problem to load profile info from a different home directory to the one it's using now.
alternatively Rename the original profile, copy it to a new user (with the old name) and then try login again.

The profile you're trying to load could be corrupted in some way / there's a bad cluster on the disk.
That lot is guesswork, please tell me if it helped.

This also is happening with all administrator accounts or any accounts that I create with the default settings.
