Drive Mapping Problem
Ok, I have an NT4 server set up as a file server and am having problems mapping drives from NT4 workstations. I can map the drives fine but after checking them to reconnect at logon, they fail to remap. After rebooting the machine the PC tries to remap the two drives but isn't able to locate them. After it has booted up properly and I click on my computer I can see the mapped drives with crosses on them but double clicking them re-initialises them ok. I have tried making a batch file and placing it in the startup to delay the mapping process but it still tries to remap when it boots up. This occurs on all the NT4 workstations and although not a major problem, is annoying since one of the mapped drives stores license details for software, the software cant be run until the drive is manually remapped. All the PC's are also running the latest Novell Netware client 4.80. Any ideas on this?

What service pack version are you running on the server?
An obstacle is something you see when you take your eyes off your goal.

Also, what protocols are loaded on the clients and server?

Try a simple login script that maps the drives.
net use drive: \\server\sharename
Windows mapping can be a pain in the *** .
Don't even ask why they call me stressball....
