    Red face dsl connection

    I upgraded computer from HP Pavillion to Intel D850GB mother board with audio and lan P4 1.5GZ cpu. I configured the network for dsl on the new computer but now I cannot connect to the web. If I connect my HP the DSL line works but when I connect Intel it does not work.If I use my frieds IP adress the DSL line works. So you know the scoop . The ISP provider value net is bleming the computer and intel is bleming the ISP. I do not under stand why when I hook up intel that perticular IP adress I can not get on line.

    You need to check your computer name.
    Then your tcp/ip settings particulary DNS.
    Make sure to match exactly whats on the old one.
    Then if all that fails, take the nic from the old machine and put it in the new one, you'll have the old mac address again.
