    Post Long Range wireless network?

What I would like to is network my house and my co-workers' house using some kind of long range wireless system. Our houses are about 1 mile apart with minimal trees between. I'm looking for bandwith in the neighborhood of .5Mbps to 1Mbps. Does anyone know of a reasonably priced wireless solution for this?? Or if it is even possible.

    <a href="http://www.oreillynet.com/pub/a/wireless/2001/05/03/longshot.html" target="_blank">Heres</a> an article on bringing wireless to a 5mile range.

    Interesting read.

I think they got a longer radius but I cant find that article.

This should become more popular out in rural areas.

you can make your own directional antenna and hook it up to your wireless brigde. piece of cake. directional helps keep AirSnort from grabbing your packets unless they are in los. rain, snow, fog will damage your connection stability.
