I don't have a Windows NT 4 server infront of me now - but there are IP filtering options on the TCP/IP settings.
you can exclude any port you don't want NT to send or recieve data in.

I'm not sure how to block ports right from the nic, but have you tried setting up a firewall? You can buy a lot of different software based firewalls that are fairly effective that will allow you to block particular ports. I think Norton firewall will allow you to configure individual tcp/ip ports.

Personally I opted for a residential router/gateway/firewall to solve my connection problems and give me protection, but when I go on to a service that allows PPP connections (like mirc) I turn on a software firewall as well (I use an old version of blackice - only cause it's easy to configure) and block all but the ports I need to run on to be extra sure.

    Hope this helped.

now type format c: and press enter and you will never have a pc problem ever again...

On NT Server right click on Network neighorhood, click on the protocols Tab, double click on TCP/IP, on the bottom right corner click on Advanced... on the bottom of Advanced IP Addressing box click on Enable Security, then click on Configure, in the TCP/IP Security you can permit TCP or UDP ports, that is if you know which ports you want just don't enter the ports you want blocked, that should work. If you don't want to go this route then install MS Proxy Server 2.0 this would be the best way to go. Good luck.

hell - i use black ice - blocks almost everything (except pings) gives you all the info to report someone. nad you can set it to ignore a nic (if multi homed)
zone alarm might be acceptable too - but i havent used it enough...
