    Post Online Gaming connection problems

I recently reformatted my hard drive and installed Windows ME once more. Since i have done so, nobody has been able to see games that I host online unless I give them the ip. Specifically in Mechwarrior 4 and Shogun: Total War. I have home networking installed also. Nobody can join channels I host on a voice com program called Roger Wilco.

I am running the same OS as I was before, had home networking going before, and playing the same games - but something is obviously different. I do not have a firewall installed.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what might be the problem?

Perhaps the games try to find hosts using the IPX protocol. Your network is obviously running if others can join your game by manually specifing an IP address. Try installing the IPX protocol in your machine and also make sure your server is broadcasting that it has a game up.
