    Post Linksys EFAH24

    Does anyone know the default IP adress for this hub? Have contacted linksys twice both tech's told me that they couldn't give me that info. <IMG SRC="smilies/mad.gif" border="0">
    I can win any argument with any computer made yet. Since they really haven't learned to fight back.

    If you own that HUB I'd probably chase them (if I were you)...

    If you have a spare time, just take a networkscanner like http://www.networkview.com/ (I have a demo one from them - don't know if that still exists) and brute-force-ping till the device answers... mainly most devices have 192.168.0.1/24 (/24=netmask 255.255.255.0) or 10.0.0.1/24 or are just listening to DHCP

    I'd try the ones above before scanning...

    Ok... searched and downloaded it: ftp.linksys.com/pdf/efahubs.pdf - the manual for you!

    Well it says nothing about managing - so it isn't accessible... it seems that the linksys-guys haven't done their job right.
    So I wouldn't expect too much from it - it's just an autosensing 10/100 HUB - not more, not less...

    Thanx our head network admin wants the ip though so i guess it's brute force.

    If there is a serial port, connect using telnet to it and look at the config. Should be in there somewhere. Best of luck with that one... Failing that pester Linksys...

    ... sorry, but you don't use telnet through a serial port - what you mean is a terminal prog ...
