[RESOLVED] Digital audio plug on cd-rom drive why
on the back of all cd-rom drives there is a analog audio plug ( wire goes to the sound card) and a digital audio plug. where dose the digital one go? I've never seen it used. I think it mite by pass the cd drives dig to analog converter to use a better one in a sound card but I've never seen a wire for this or a sound card that had a input for it. does anyone know how to use it. or why

Some sound cards have a digital audio connector on them for use with that plug.
the connector on the sondcard to use that plug is called the CD SPDIF connector
