    Post Computer progression

    Can anyone remember the progression of computer systems that they have owned....

    such as...
    Timex Sinclair-1000(Z80-2k) - 8088/4.77 - 286/10 - 486DX/33 -IBM(CYRIX 486DX4/100) - AM486DX4/100 - IBM(CYRIX)686/200L - K6-2/300 - K6-2/450 - Athlon Classic 600 - Duron 700 - Athlon T-Bird 800 - Athlon T-Bird 1200

    Or whatever...

    I am just curious as to the platform upgrade path people follow, especially if you ran something odd...

    IBM XT - 386/25 w/4MB RAM - 386/33 w/8MB RAM & 2X CD - 486/66 w/16MB RAM, 2X CD (from 386/33)-> upgraded to-> 486/133 w/32MB RAM, 16X IDE CD (first Win95 system) - Cyrix 6x86 MX-II PR300(233MHz) (first Pentium-class system)->upgraded to-> AMD K6-2/333 - AMD K6-2/550 (present system, first with AGP slot).

    Future: x.xGHz AMD Athlon (Palomino?), 256MB DDR RAM, GeForce3 video, non-SB sound (don't like the way they crushed Aureal), DSL/cable modem (if I'm lucky) and WinXP (if it lives up to the hype).
    [note: 'future' system is presently in vaporware/daydream-ware stage. specifications and actual hardware are subject to change without notice (without the particular interest of the reader as well) ]
