I wanted to - but I couldn't read what I was typing 1/2 the time (my laptop isn't that good with lighting around me) so I changed my font color and got kicked !?!?!?!?

oh well, I'll just make it a point never to go in there again.

I know what you are saying, but from an "OP" standpoint, that is not a great job either....you get railed on for EVERYTHING you do, be it right or wrong. So, give them so slack, I am an OP in another chat room and it can get hairy, so please if your going to be there, support them?

OK, Fubarian, you obviously did not think about others as the chat ops have to do. Default colours is the ONLY way to stay sane in there. If we let multiple colours a lot more would get missed (and many ops would be wearing sunglasses).

I am sorry you could not adjust your laptop screen so that you can see black text clearly, but ops have to read every line of text from everybody.

If you were in "green" in the java client and you found that hard to read then go to www.mirc.com or www.pirch98.com and download a client that you can configure without making other peoples lives miserable.

And please Fubarian, you were kicked after you had been asked multiple times to sort out the colours.

Actually, this is a valid topic. As a former chat op, I even caught s*** from the other ops because there seems to be a very definite double standard there. The ops protect anyone who sucks up to them. There are a couple of ops who are fair, and I salute them...they know who I'm talking about.

I very rarely stop in there now for the same reasons. It is really nice when they argue with each other.
