Spiderman or Attack of the Clones
Now its time to chose
I just got back from Star Wars and I liked the movie.... but Spiderman was better.
I dont know if I was burned by the crappiness of the Episode 1 or if I just aint a hardcore Star Wars freak. In reality, I would rate Attack of the Clones a 7.5 and Spiderman an 11.
So, now... you tell me.
If it aint broke, TWEAK it!
When in doubt, throw it out!!

Flabooble!
I've seen both at home and after tonight I will have seen both in the theater. Spidey had a better story but Star Wars was such a visual spectacle (I know I'm gonna freak when I see it in the theater) that I can't say that either is better.

i voted for spiderman, i really liked spiderman better than attack of the clones.
attack of the clones in the begining it was mostly talk and boring, i almost fell asleep during the begining of the movie. the only thing i liked about attack of the clones was the ending of the movie with the war.
as far as spiderman , well i liked the whole thing from begining to end and i'll glady pay to watch spiderman again

that sounds alot strange and illeagal to me,
ya gotta admit, thats highly unusual to have preview copies(that are leagal) of those kind of major movies!
I was'nt born yesterday, and that sounds odd to me,thats all,
if you get leagal copies of week old movies then,GREAT,more power to ya.
no I don't know you ,but I do know that my uncle and my dad are Academy members and my brother in law works for warner bros and they usually get them fast, but they don't have those two yet.

Doesn't sound strange to me. When a friend of mine ran the video dept at the grocerey store we used to work at, they ALWAYS got "demo" copies of movies that were in the theatres.
The only thing was they had "demo" in the lower right corner, but you didn't see it after a few minutes.
We got to see many movies at home while they were at (some even before) the theatre.

Spidey hasnt opened down here yet, (still 3 weeks away) but Ive got a feeling that Spider-Man will be the better film.
Episode II was good, much better than Episode I, but I was still left a little flat.

because it's not worth it.

Dang. Sorry, but your assumptions are unfounded, and I wasn't trying to make you mad or anything. It just so happens that I'm one of those people who knows people who know people (at least once in a while).
There are tapes called "Screeners" that studios release to several people who will promote the movie. Often the film is in an early stage, scenes are missing, jumbled or the music is missing or sometimes they are complete. Almost all screener tapes have anti piracy warnings that pop up about 3 times that give you are # to call (I think it's the MPAA).
These go to the influential or anyone deemed worthy of an advanced copy and then filter along to those attached to the person. Copies are often made and often those copies make it to the video piracy market so if you really think about it, this sort of thing might not be the brightest thing in the world to do on the studios part but they make this sacrifice that they can make extra from the promotion.
Other times there are special screenings set up for advanced viewings of the movie. A theater is rented for a week and people who might promote the film and often several others who have nothing to do with the industry are given tickets. Extra tickets for more than just those who will be critiquing the film are given to help drum up word of mouth advertising - the best there is.
Now, if you want to see films before they come out or want posters and other paraphernalia and you don't want to break any laws you can do so quite easily. Make friends who work for papers, video stores, movie theaters, record chains and anywhere that might have anything to do with hyping a film or the soundtrack. Hell, just go work at a video rental place and you will get all kinds of cool stuff. Work for a record store and get all kinds of cool stuff. It's just marketing in action, little more.
Oh, and now that I have seen it. Well. It's better than the 1st one in this new series.

Ok, for those of you who said Star Wars was better, I want to hear your opinion as to why it was. If it was special effects and thats it, then it sounds like AOL is a better ISP for you since your all about the eye candy. LOL

I just saw SW:AoC yesterday, and though it was better than Ep1, it didn't beat Spiderman. I basically watched Ep2, and there were parts so cliché that I groaned in embarrassment, specifically with that "love story". Whatever. Even though the romance angle was handled better in Spiderman, the action in that movie didn't seem to "pop" as much as the fights in AoC. I'm not saying that it wasn't good, just that I didn't feel like Spidey was working hard. It's a real shame when you walk away from a movie thinking,"That guy who played JJJ (J.K. Simmons) was awesome." or "I really hope Ep3 has a real story." In short they're both about the same IMO, and they'll both be a part of my video library.
