MAX PC readers
Since I know many of you read MaxPC, I was wondering what everyone thinks of the "new format" they are going to. Personally, I do not like it. They are focusing on the whole multimedia thing instead of hardware. If I want to know how to run Photoshop, I'll check the help files, ya know? If this trend goes too far, I may cancel my subscription.
What do you think?

Yeah, they need to be stickin' to their roots!
And what the heezell happened to their comedy material on the last page? Now its this chumpy preview page....
Still the finest PC magazine out there tho, and the only mag I subscribe to.
Maybe we should get a Windrivers pettition to keep the stuff we like.

Bah, the only time I get it is when some one at my company doesn't pick up their subscription from the mailroom. They lost me when they switched from boot to MaxBS, I mean MaxPC.

Flabooble!
Why do Mags feel the need to revamp themselves? Every mag I read seems to have to change PC Computing became some yuppie mag, Computer Shopper decided to have articles carry the weight of the mag (who buys that mag for the articles about stuff thats old news) and got rid of the adds (why I used to buy it), MaxPC changes too. Why???!!!???!!!
I hate magazine editors.

Their job is to sell magazines....they don't need to care about what's inside as long as they sell....In order to sell more, they need to keep tweaking looking for ways to attract new customers. Personally, I don't read any of them. By the time it's in print and in my mail box all the info is old news anyway.

I agree with you there! Most stuff I already have by the time they review it. It is good for the "first look" stuff they do. But I CAN get better info, faster, and free, at sites like Anandtech and Tom's Hardware.
