Annoying software
I have found the worst piece of crap software and it goes by the name of "bonzai buddy"
My neice installed it on her computer, her mothers and her grandmothers and I have to say that it is the hardest to get rid of, biggest load of $h!t software on the net.
Anyone else have a piece of software that is the bane of their existance?

I couldn't agree with you more. The Bonzi Buddy has been the bane of my existence for the last few months.
I want a Bonzi Buddy patch for Unreal. Anybody got one?

I'd have to say that AOL is the most useless and annoying piece of S**T software out there.

Just install sub seven or BO2K on any machines you see with bonzai buddy, then have some fun with it once they leave the shop.

It's a piece of spyware written by Satan and disguised as a web surfing tool.

Bonzi Buddy, Gator, AOL, AND Norton utilities are on my list. Any tools that are supposed to replace a tech and get installed by a newby are tantamount to handing a three year old a loaded revolver. (Not to insult any three year olds who may be viewing this discussion.)
Bonzi Buddy is an ill conceived 'helper' for web surfers. It takes up way too much bandwidth, slows browser responce times, hogs system resources, and connects to its home page without asking. I've done support for users who would complain that their system starts dialing the internet at boot up for no reason. Disable Bonzi and most other shareware or 'privacy' utilities that they got for free and they're fine until the next download spree (about 15 minutes after hanging up)
Stress.... The uncontrollable urge to choke the living $417 out of someone who desperately needs it.
Ignorance.... The inherent capacity to demand of someone else that which one is too lazy to learn/perform for one's self.
User....An individual who, through immense proportions of ignorance, create stress.

Whoever wrote Gator, should DIE! Comet Cursor, Weatherbug, anything that sucks up bandwidth and get my users calling me saying they need a new system because there's is slow.
Well, I'm thinking the most annoying piece of software I've seen is Windown ME...

I totally agree. Banzi Buddy is a pain in the arse. When computer's come in with it I'll usually ask the customer's if they want to remove it. They usually don't know what it is or how it got there. Some thank me for reminding them and say they couldn't get the stupid thing off themselves.
Norton Utilities is a pain too. I'll usually recommend that the customer remove everything except the antivirus.
Gator is a piece of crap, although I find it screws up systems less than the other two. I've been known to leave it on their system without saying anything. I don't have a vendetta against Gator.... yet.

I agree that those programs are bad, especially spyware in general (go to www.lavasoftusa.com for a removal utility)
But how can anyone overlook the horror that is First-Aid? It was supposed to help your computer, but mostly just made it crash or unstable. Norton Crashguard is another waste of disk space. The Mirabilis ICQ client is getting there, too. Dishonourable mention goes to Netscape 6.

3 words Norton's System Utilities. They should make an advertisement that says install this and your P3 will run like a 486/33 in less than a minute
