[RESOLVED] Windows Protection Error

HP Pavillion 8190. Win95. Attempted upgrade Win98. Windows Protection Error. Tried all the *fixes* on HP site. Fdisked & formatted and attempted a *clean* install Win98. Used the bios upgrade from HP site. Renamed SCSI1HLP.VXD in iosubsys per HP direction. Nothing works...Please help?

Try removing or disconnecting any hardware that you can one device at a time. If the system starts working after you pull your modem, for example, then you can narrow down the cause of the problem.
