Acer CD-787E (8X) Drivers?
Does anyone have drivers for an Acer CD-787E CD ROM? There is also an Aopen unit with the same model number; presumably they are the same items. The drive is actually made by AESL Technologies, and if Acer still supports it, I can't find the driver anywhere on their site. And at the moment, I can't find anything at all on the Aopen site. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try this link. It doesn't specify the model of cd-rom drive, it appears to be for all 8x drives.

Can I have an 'Undo' button installed on my Unix box please?

Thanks. I found the driver. I won't get around to doing anything with it for a couple of days, but I will report back on whether it works or not. All the best.

I couldn't get the drivers to work with the CDROM. This, however, may not be a problem with the drivers. The CDROM itself may be fired. Thanks, anyway.

The 8x drivers from the UK site work for this model. However, the vide-cdd.sys file shipped with current Acer models also seems to work just fine. Thanks for your help.
