    Philips CD-RW 3610

    I have an Atapi CD-RW unit, Philips CD-RW 3610, and a Teac 32x IDE.

When I try to record a cd, the procedure fails. I've checked the bus mastering and I've reinstalled Win98. Sometimes it closes the TOC after 5% of writing.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

What is the arrangement of your IDE devices? If you are having trouble recording you could try changing the master/slave setup with your CD drives and hard drive. For example, if your hard drive is primary master and the two CD's are secondary master and slave, try moving your CD-ROM to primary slave and make your CD-RW the master all alone on the secondary controller.

    I hope this helps,

    Steve
