    Cool

I always wait at least a year before I buy 'new technology'...they are hella cheap by then
I'm still using a GeForece256 (just got it early this year) and have no complantes about it. DDR mkes for a good card no matter how old it is.
No reason to get a GeForce3 just yet for ANYONE (unles you are running some super cool VR simulation on a 16 processor system ) Wait a year, then the price will be worth it.
    ...I don't get it...

Got a GEforce2 GTS Ultra 64DDR...I am in no rush to upgrade. Not that I wouldn't like the new G3 it IS a cool card, but after spending a chunk of change on the last vid card, swapping it out just doesn't seem feasible. ALL my games run great even at 1600X1200X32.

Not to start a war with all you 3Dfxers, but...at least I get to drool over Nvidia's future products that are gonna be well out of my reasonable budget.

I would've stayed a 3Dfx loyalist if more developers would've used Glide more often. But once Glide died, so did the reason to own any type of VooDoo for me.

I wait until the next generation cards come out then I buy the outgoing model. So when Geforce 3 comes down in price, I'll pick up a decreasing gFroce2 GTS.

    Thumbs up

I just picked up a Dual Head GF2. I capture video in this machine through a firewire port from my camcorder--720x480--29.97fps--128kbps audio--about 30 minutes at a time--no dropped frames, while looking at Windrivers on the other screen. Good enough for me!!!
