    I got a new machine,

    Dell Omniplex

    2 ghz P4
    256 megs
    80 gig hd
    16x DVD
    24x Burner
    19'' monitor/with speakers <- thank you aplus
    10/100 nic
    16 meg agp video card
    and Windows XP pro


    ok, you are all thinking, like yeah so what whats the big deal with that, I build them better than that all the time! We I do too, this is my new WORKSTATION. I love it, I upgraded from a IBM 133 with win 95 and 64 megs of ram.

    And then you'd have to get an office big enough to contain it...otherwise it's like sitting in the front row at the movies!

    Uh you mean Optiplex? I got one too as a workstation...mines only a PIII 1ghz...but nicer than the damn Digital junk we were using...I've been using the Dell since December I think, with a digital monitor, after my boss saw me nose screen, he let me order a Dell 19"...Very nice monitor... /Me happy!

    That "Omniplex" thing kept nagging me in the back of my mind. Thanks Lycia.

    Sounds like a really nice machine. Whose choice was it to get a DVD, though? Two hour movie breaks, anyone?

    Hey! At my work place, the dells are the good ones.. Wich would you rather use.. K6-2-450 with 64 ram and a 14" monitor or a Dell P3 733 with 128 ram and a 17" monitor. The good news is that compnay rumor says that we'll be upgrading ALL the workstations to XP, wich means hardware upgrades/replacements for most of the crappy boxes.
