[RESOLVED] problems with CD-ROM Leoptics 32x
Hi,
does anyone know about a new driver for my Leoptics 32x CD-ROM?
Since I have a Sony RW-CD recorder a can't play audio files any more.
The Leoptics homepage obviously does not exist any more.
thanks

So, let me get this straight...you can't play an audio CD in your Leoptics CD-ROM drive now?

Hi schultzz, thank you for your reply.
The problem is a little more complicated:
Before I had the Sony RW-CD, I had no problems at all with my Leoptics 32x.
Now, after booting my PC I can play the audio files, but as soon as I start WinOnCD
or do use the Sony RW-CD, it is no longer possible to play audio files from the Leoptics 32x.
When I choose an audio track I get different error messages: i.e. no CD is in the CD-ROM player;
only the first track can be played or it is constantly searching for files on the CD.
I tried all possible master/slave combination without success.
Drivers from other firms don't work.
When I use an old 6x CD-ROM, which I borrowed from a friend, everything does work all right,
therfore I think that the Leoptics is the reason for the trouble I have.
The whole trouble occurs only when I try to play or copy audio files. I have no problems
with data files!
all the best
Bernd
