Does anyone else have "mouse shoulder"?!
Does anyone else get mouse shoulder after useing a mouse for an extended period of time? I'm actually kinda concerned about this, because after I use a mouse for a long time (and hour or two) my shoulder hurts terribly above the shoulder blade (stupid EverCrack)... I know this isn't normal, I'm guessing it's a repetitive strain injury... do I need to have it checked out... has anyone else experienced this?
- Hey, why is it I see so many ads now that I have a cable modem?
- That's because you're online a lot more.
- oh yeah.

Yes, I'm feeling that right now.
Does anyone have medical information on this? Or should we all switch to trackballs <IMG SRC="smilies/frown.gif" border="0">

Got some news for you, trackballs don't cure it. I've got it in my forearm as well.

ahh, it's good to know I'm not alone... I wonder if there is a medical name for it... I guess the telepathic link would be the best route.... stupid "mouse shoulder"

We'll just get "mouse brain" or something else like that if we switch.
My wrist starts to hurt sometimes after a few hours of mousing about. Get a wrist pad and it helps a little. Doing little exercises for your wrist or shoulder helps a little too - gets the juices flowing again, ya know?

I think we should have our own physical therapists. My back gets sore, shoulder and hand from using this stupid mouse. Maybe a nice comfortable leather Executive chair would help. Think I'll put in a request to my boss, lol!!

I am starting to have RSI problems, but it's a hazard of the job.
We've [the techs] have been using a mouse pad with a built in rest. It has a raised "bump" at the bottom filled with gel. It seems to improve the RSI a lot. I've posted the link below:

Might be worth asking you boss or health & Safety person to invest in some.

I got a trapped nerve in my elbow that stopped me playing FPS games (too much game play), the I had to switch to game pad only games. The problem is now cured. The shoulder prob, is it like having gravel under the shoulder blade? I know a lot of people who get this. People who drive for a living suffer this as well. Allegedly, it's due to bad posture, something all computer users are guilty of. My fix for the problem is buy a futon, put your computer on the floor, lie across the bed with your face and chest propped up with pillows and away you go. No pain, no strain. Only prob is you get too comfy and can nod off during online game play. Oh well, there's always a down side to everything!

Has anyone seen the new airline commercial about "double click syndrome"? They go to a rehab center and everything. It's pretty humerous. Just reminds me of all of you.

For me its the lower part of my hand, right above the wrist, the part of your hand that rests on the counter. It starts to tingle, go numb and ache after a while. Nothing with the sholder though.
