What do you really think of your Boss?
My boss thinks he is the smartest dude alive and that everybody else is stupid, where in fact he is the stupidest person I ever met.. kind of why our company is so small!
he also knows nothing of the technology his company deals with!
tell me about your boss?

Actually, I have a really awesome boss. He is willing to pay me to learn more, and he understands that sometimes everyone has bad days. He is really the best guy I have ever worked for. (no kidding)
I will stay at this company just to work for him... (You wouldn't understand unless you have had some of the worst bosses in the world like I have.)
My problem is that I am not afraid to let people know when they are screwing up, or being stupid. I do it politely, but I still let them know. This boss, ACTUALLY appreciates when I call him on what he is doing wrong! (as long as I am not trying to make him look bad...) He wants to do what it takes to be a better manager.

Similar to ShadowKing, my boss is not a bad person. He appreciates well intentioned and researched suggestions and acts on those that match his goals and company direction. When it comes the management of human resources, however, he is severly lacking and close-minded. This has lead to the evacuation of several company assets and (soon?) myself. I am looking and have three choices with pending final interviews. A large organization may be better with benefits and can't afford to keep managers who don't/can't build teams nor properly motivate others to do better personally and professionaly.
Stress.... The uncontrollable urge to choke the living $417 out of someone who desperately needs it.
Ignorance.... The inherent capacity to demand of someone else that which one is too lazy to learn/perform for one's self.
User....An individual who, through immense proportions of ignorance, create stress.

Do you leak any fluids, do you have any bumps on your rear, do you have any unpleasant odors?
If you answered yes to any of these then you are not qualified to own a new AMD ATHLON XP.
If someone ask you if you are running the all-new fastest AMD ATHLON XP, just turn around and reply "WHY YES, AND ITS CERTIFIED"

My boss is pretty okay, considering that position is filled by me. I should hope my employees think I'm okay to work for. We've got a laid back environment, and we reward our employees for good work.

My tech manager is an absolute legend. Above him are the company CEO's, and the CEO's are complete and utter wankers.. and we all know that $h1t rolls downhills, hence, im leaving as soon as the lease on my apartment runs out.

My Boss is good. He knows more than I do in many areas, and is willing to concede that he had no idea, honest. The pay is OK, but the people I work with are good. My boss and I actually used to have the same employer, but in different locations. We both have similar training outside of IT, which we can ramble on and on about until somebody starts asking questions about what's that.....etc. He's willing to do our job when things are tough, and we can joke about things and all laugh about it. He's one of "the guys" which is weird because we have some ladies in the geek club too.
God is all knowing, I am just human.

That's funny. I had posted a similar topic some months ago, but can't find it now. Anyway.
I'll say what I said back then. My boss still sucks!

My Boss is great. He guides us rather than tells us and treats us a co-workers rather than a slave you can boss about.

My boss is great. He's very understanding. It's just the two of us as we're in a smaller company. He handles most of the networking stuff, and I handle most of the updgrades, troubleshooting, ect... He knows full well, that we all have our bad days, where we just can't seem to fix anything, and he's very understanding when I need some last minitue time off. The pay's ok (But who wouldn't like to make more $$$) But, I stay here for the environment. Pretty laid back. I don't dread comming in in the mourning. (Although I do have to stop that sleeping while driving in thing... <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0"> )

I like my boss.
She's very knowledgeable in her field(which isn't computers) and let's me do my own thing. It's nice that she just trusts me to be responsible. Not like my old job. My old job was the computer equivilent to a sweat shop.
