Wink Not Sure Where Else to Post These Questions

I am, shall we say, Mac-Challenged. I was just given a Mac LC 580. Is it useful for anything other than a natty-looking doorstop?

I am suspicious of anything using 30 Pin SIMMs.

Where would I find a NIC for such a beast?

Prepare to pay LOTS for parts, servicing and anything else you might need.

I was once quoted $180 for a replacement keyboard, and $80 for a replacement mouse.

I would turn it into a fishtank myself...

Unfortunately, the LC series of Macintosh isn't the kind that you can turn into a fish tank.

That would be the SE series or the Mac Classic. something along those lines.

How disappointing! I can't even make a fish tank out of it.

    Check out this:

And I thought I was getting something with this beast of mine, which doesn't even have a CDROM as it turns out.

Ship it to me. I'm sure my husband could network it in with his other Macs and make use of it. Then again, I think we have Zip disks bigger than that HDD. Eh, nevermind...

I have a couple of people who were going to not only make Macquariums, but were going to in fact NETWORK two of them by putting a plastic tube full of water between them...
