Not Sure Where Else to Post These Questions
I am, shall we say, Mac-Challenged. I was just given a Mac LC 580. Is it useful for anything other than a natty-looking doorstop?
I am suspicious of anything using 30 Pin SIMMs.
Where would I find a NIC for such a beast?

Prepare to pay LOTS for parts, servicing and anything else you might need.
I was once quoted $180 for a replacement keyboard, and $80 for a replacement mouse.
I would turn it into a fishtank myself...

When in doubt of where to post <a href="http://forums.windrivers.com/cgi-bin/forum3/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=forum;f=17" target="_blank">tech-to-tech</a> is the place
"I feel like one of those mass murderers on death row. I never understood how the hell they got more chicks than I did. Now I know. They sold crap on eBay." -- Anonymous ebayer
"I figured out what's wrong with life: it's other people." -- Dilbert

Unfortunately, the LC series of Macintosh isn't the kind that you can turn into a fish tank.
That would be the SE series or the Mac Classic. something along those lines.

How disappointing! I can't even make a fish tank out of it.
Check out this:

And I thought I was getting something with this beast of mine, which doesn't even have a CDROM as it turns out.
