my 2k.. around here , i live in the styx, people usually settle for 1/2 of the apraized
value, and usually do way better if they advertize in an out of town paper.

I think PSBO is a typo. FSBO=For Sale By Owner. Realtors HATE them (steals their opportunity for a commission).

FSBO = For sale by owner.
I don't know what the other one is?
Hey? Why is my computer prompting me if I would like to accept a cookie? Is it Oatmeal or Chocolate Chip?

The saga continues!
Went to sign the papers tonight (contract). The girl buying my house has a realtor representing her. I made it VERY CLEAR that I would not pay ANY commission from the get-go, but if the seller wanted to pay for representation, that was her buisness. (I think that is more like a broker type arrangement- check me if I am wrong) So right as I am about to sign, this realtor tries to pull a fast one and slip in an agreement for me to pay her 3%!!! WTF?!?
I shot the whole deal down immediately. That is unethical and just plain crooked. Then the realtor gets mad at ME, and tries to say I agreed to this. I told her if I wanted a realtor, I'd have hired one of my choice, so she leaves in a huff. Fine by me, though. I got two more offers from individuals to consider.
If anybody is a realtor out there (Ghostfleet), this is not to say that realtors are bad or dishonest. I think most people (realtors included) just want to make an honest buck. But man, I was steamed, and I will not deal with another realtor on this transaction, for sure.

You're right, the realtor was the buyers representative, not yours. Stick to your guns....

i woulda walked too, shoulda said by me sighning this you a gree to a free karate lesson and take em around back and teach that realator! , a freind from high schools wife was studying to be a relator, they asked me to paint their car for 500 bucks what they wanted was a 500 dollar restoration on a pussed out cadilac, they are this type , i have since been smart and have disasociated, with them for reasons not yet printed in the tech lounge, That was the closest dealing ive had with a relator ,i did one better i called all the relators in town told them my house was for sale had them all there at 5 oclock sharp only problem was it wasnt my house, it was the kids perants who liked to make prank phone calls , the phone calls stopped!!
Boy you did the right thing ! there shoulda kept that paper for a momento, and looked at it on those bad days as a funny reminder...
Good luck on selling it! thanxz my 2~k

And now the latest installment....
Had coffee with a nice couple tonight, and cut a deal that nets me more dough than the one I walked away from, even without the realtor fees! This has worked out great, and after all that stress last night, I am downin' a few with the wife and gettin' naked to celebrate!
