C/Net give the HP SureStore CD Write Plus 8100i its Editor's Choice Award as the best CDRW on the market. Best price is $194. Any comments?

Awesome drive! I've got one myself and I highly recommend it to my friends, or anybody who wants a burner for that matter!
I haven't had a single problem with it and it's fast as hell!

HP products are thought to be fairly reliable. The model in question has been surpassed in speed by many others, including HP itself. If speed is not an issue and you want a reliable drive, that item should be all right. Just be careful and hope that you do not require customer support, it is definitely NOT one of their strong points!

HP CDwriter is one of the good one where I using one myself now. Since day one not even one bad CD has burn by this writer. 100% reliable, talking about support, this is one strong point make me bought this writer. Where they had trained engineer to answer your question. I did call before to solve on my motherboard chipset issue. I feel they are at the best..
