its the kids opinion...I always hate how if the kid has a opinion the school kicks the kid out.

This is stupid, I have always hated school, I went through this when I was a laid. Art is art, is it not?

I keep saying this like a broken record but It's a Brave New World. Liberals control 99% of television and a large percentage of education. Their goal is to eliminate individuality and free thought through training or drugs (like ridilin). I'm not gonna spout on this cuz I've got other things to do right now (and I hate sounding like a radical nut all of the time) but check this out.

We're the ones who wish to restore the arts (where there is more room for individual development and expression) to public schools rather than reducing curriculums to reading, writing, and arithmetic. And as a good liberal, I've actively campaigned against the use of ritalin. From my experience, ritalin is often just a tool used to control kids from being kids when the parents don't have realistic ideas about how kids need to explore their environments. (not to detract from those lesser number of cases where a child really has some chemical imbalances--but even many of those can be controlled with better diets....)

ILTU is right, the lines have gotten very confused here....creating confusion is the easiest way to improve the odds of propaganda campaigns succeeding--a fact that both political parties use as much as is possible. Neither has a monopoly on 'rightness' or 'integrity.'

I am the leader of a Boy Scout troop here and 2 years ago, (pre all recent terrorist BS), one of my scouts accidently took a pocket knife to school. It was on the Monday following an outing we had where the boy used his school backpack. Worst part is the boy got in trouble because he realized after getting to school he had the knife with him and took it to the office to ask them to hold it for him because he knew he shouldn't have it with him! They called the police, had him arrested, fined, and expelled him! I went with his mother in front of the school board and to court and eventually got it all wiped clean. Remarkable thing is this boy is an honor roll student, in ROTC, band, and just an all round good kid.

Just a point on the ritalin issue - its not always the parents causing the kids to end up on it.
This is from experience - I was a victim of it, and my stepson almost had it happen to him before I stepped in

The schools play a big part in kids ending up on control - type drugs. If a teacher thinks "Billy" is a little too active, she can have the school doctor put the kid on drugs. It took 3 Months of me going around school stoned before my mother was finally able to get me removed from the drugs!!!!! I was in 3rd grade - now as an adult I wonder how much that affected my life, and how much difference there would be in my standard of living if this had not happened. I have a great long term memory, but lousy short tem - and after that is about the time i started having problems with remembering short-term - if it was studied in class that day don't test me on it, I would not know the answer.

in a bizzare twist of coincidance, my 6 year old son was suspended today for telling a friend... "if the teacher gives us anymore homework we are going to have to chop her up and eat her". I am not quite sure how I feel about this, canabolism is not a good thing, but I hear teachers are tasty.

I'm going to date myself here, but these things have been going on for years in certain areas, we just forget . I grew up in Richmond, VA (Henrico Co.) at the time of desegregation in the late 60's. Absolute fierce race riots were the norm during my late grade school and middle school years. Marshall law ruled the schools for a couple of years. It got to the point that security guards (we called them the Mole Patrol) would check everything. Anything that looked suspicious was confiscated and you were sent home. No questions asked. Any thing said or infurred if the teacher thought it was derogatory was a no no. I was sent home in the 8th grade because the teacher overheard me saying I went with my father to a Coon hunting trial over the weekend. My dad raised and sold UKC and ACHA registered Blue-Tick and Black n Tan Coon Hunting Dogs and these trials were/are actual national events. It took three days to get me back to school and I was suspended off the 8th grade baseball team for 1 week (my dad actually hired a lawyer)!!! Eventually we all grew up and learned to get along and by the time I reached High School in '72 things had quieted down. I see such a pattern today. When I was a TA then a teacher of 8th grade Earth Science back in the late 70's and early 80's in Virginia and Tennessee my reaction was always where the heck are the parents!!! I can't imagine what's going on now.
I only post using 100% recycled electrons!!!

Stay on the bomb run, boys. I'm going to get them doors open if it hair lips everybody on Bear Creek.
