Post Help...please...help

Ok, here's the situation, i just moved in with 2 people, they've been my friends for quite a while now. A few months after i moved in with them, they decided to get married. Well, the girls mom, who hasn't seen her in 6 years comes to visit with the grandparents....and misses her flight back. She's been staying at our house ever since(a little over a month), and she's making no effort to leave. I want her out, and my roomate wants her out, but his wife gets really really mad whenever we say something about it. And her mom tries to make her feel bad when we say anything about her being there so...she gets mad again, and it's hell for the both of us.

I'd like more than anything in the world to throw the b$^%@ out myself, but then there'd be too much hostility between us, and things just wouldnt work out....so, for a few weeks now, i've been plotting on how to get her out, without making anyone mad...with no success.

SooOooooo...........suggestions please?

Reading this the "Do you think this is a Holiday Inn" comercial comes to mind . I know that you wanna keep peace, but she's in your house and you want her gone, Just tell her its time to go. The way I see it, everyone can't please you, so why try to please everyone else? If she cant understand that her time is up there, then she has problems that is above your help.

Could it possibly be that she has no other place to go and she lied about missing her flight?

There are some really could actors out there...

mam did you pick a topic for discussion!
hint , slighly , or just drive her nutz , short sheet her bed so to say do a few sneekey things without telling anyone else
yah know those things that anyone could have done , like steel, brake non important items, something not of value,, but enough to driver her mindless, swipe something like her hair brush then 2 days later put it back.. make her feel unsecure in that house. she has to make the descision its not worth it dude, i hate to actually tell you to do this its mean , but when in rome,,,, and act like nothings up you need to be a good liar, end result is what you need without saying anything so she could only suspect who did it also do it right after non important freids visit like her freinds!! instant patsy,,, you have to be smarter then them in order to suceed.. making someone feel unwanted, over staying their welcome is a tough task without getting straight to the point and say get out now!
good luck on finding the right answer
and ppl watch what you say no flamers please

Great advice about bugging her like that...but i've already tried that, and it was enough to make her talk about leaving...and she even asked the truck driver down the road to hitch a ride if he was going back to Cali(where she's from)...i mean, noone can be a bigger ******* than me, and when i focus on one person...it's an amazing thing to see, you'll laugh your *** off, but she just tells her daughter, and plays on her concience(sp?) and her daughter gets pissed off at me...and then b#$ches at her husband about it...and i dont want to cause him trouble like that. So that just won't work

And yes, she has a place to go, she lived with her grandparents in california...and if she didn't have a place to go, i wouldnt care.

If she's going to continue living there, she has to pay rent, utilities, etc...

You'll also want to let your roomates know that this is not the arangement you agreed to. Yeah, having mom visit for a few days, or even a week is fine, but this is just wrong.

Let them know that you're uncomfortable with her there, as you can't have your normal social life (if that envolves having a g/f stay the night).

Another note, some apartment buildings only allow a certian number of people to live in an apartment. For us it's 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 kids. They've tossed people out for having extra people stay more than 2 weeks, and it's in the lease that they can do that....

I would leave, but i have no place to go, and i can't really afford a house by myself, nor do i know anyone i can be roomates with.

I could go back to my parents house and stay there for a while, but i'm not about to do that, i tried that about 2 months ago when i moved out of my old house, and it just didn't work.

At the risk of sounding like an old codger, nothing worthwhile comes free. Yeah, it'll probably be tough to leave, but the sooner you do so the better you'll be. Now I'll get philosophical: Life is full of choices that you alone have to make. The way I see it, you have three: get out, get passive, or get mad. Now, what are you gonna do?

If you live in an apartment, is your name on the lease? If so, who elses? If the three of you are on the lease, then you should work with the landlord to break your part of the lease, if possible. Tell the other two that they are responsible for a pro-rated re-imbursement of any deposits you made and start switching all services in their name, or just turn them off and they'll figure that one out. All of this is your way of getting funds back for you to move out. If granny won't move, and your buddy is too chicken to face his wife like a man, then you need to leave. Sometimes we pay a good deal for sanity, but is your sanity worth paying a little extra now to get out now? Once you stick the two of them with all of the bills, they will realize the monetary help you made, and that granny still is a burden, and a bigger one after you leave.
I once bailed on a roomie because he wouldn't get a job and paying his bills was not something I wanted to do. I paid a little to move, but it was worth it. He eventually ended up in jail for a while before he got his head out of his rear end.
God is all knowing, I am just human.

You're not at fault here, from what I can tell, but you're still going to pay a price for this situation.

Consider it a wedding present to your roommates and leave as quickly as you can.

Explain to them precisely the reasons for opting for temporary discomfort of your own choosing rather than suffering through the arrangements they have imposed upon you without your approval. BTW, he is just as responsible as she is for your plight.

Tell the old bag to get a job and start paying 1/4 of the rent and bills. Hand her a vacuum or toilet brush and make her chip in around the house . Just treat her like a maid. If that doesn't work ,start looking for another place. There are always adds in the paper of peaple looking for room mates. It might be a little uncomfortable at first but then so is your present situation.
Good Luck!!!
