Maybe the kid should sue the state that gave him his license, since obviously he can't drive and never should have been in a car in the first place.

So if I get in my car and and drive 50mph into a wall I can sue Honda because I am a retard?

Yeah makes perfect sense. I wonder what happened to the people he hit. I would sue the kids parents for all that money.
Its all fun and games until someone loses an eye, then its just fun in the dark.

OK, OK guys... funs been had... I do have a small rebuttal though. Sure, Alabama has been long known (falsely, by the way) for it's loose marriage laws, which are some of the tightest in the south. Just as a side note, here it is illegal to marry or even have a relationship with anyone closer than a third cousin. Most other states require first cousin separation. But anyway, alabama's courts are much more lenient to the plaintiff than those in california or maryland. I am a Senior in college majoring in criminal justice and pre-law, and can find the stats to prove this, but don't really want to. Sorry for the long post, but I am proud of the state I live in, as well as all of you are... well maybe a little more...

    Here is my story:

A few years ago I was riding my bike and was hit by a car...flew over the car and all that good stuff. Anyways, I sue the people driving the car and they sue me back because I dented there car with my body??? It gets better...the arbitrator ruled in their favor (didn't they hit me???). The case ended up being dropped, and I got screwed in med bills which I'm still paying off (only 2 more months of med bills, woo hoo!). Can someone say I got screwed twice??? Oh well, I'm alive. Sorry for the post, but it still ticks me off!

stupid rulings ,,,,here in the UK we,ve just taken a USA aproach in that ambulance chacers are grabbing u off the street (literaly) if u had an accident within 3 years "no win no fee" - and NO costs to yourself ,,,,they go to court ,,,run it to its limit , get u £500 and drop them selves £10,000 in court costs ,,,,,

it,s getting out of hand ,,,members of parliment are trying to change laws

State of MA vs. Smith and Wesson if I remember correctly.....last year, maybe the year before.....was based on product safety I think, but had nothing to do with defective products.

Warning, this gun may contain bullets.

Do not point this end at your dumb self.

Anyone remember the MacDonalds coffee case where someone spilt coffee down herself then sued because it was hot?
I'm in charge and I say we blow it up

The coffee was kept at a temperature that was rather high (hot enough to cause damage to someone) but isnt it the same temperature when you make it yourself? Ive read a fair bit about the "Mcdonalds VS idiot coffee lady" thing, and as a general rule, its pretty stupid, but gives some insight into corporate greed, stupid customer or not.

Some more background info on that McDonald's story:

Yes, the old lady was burned real bad when it spilled onto her lap. Her family got some attorneys and they did some research and found out the McD's had 50 or more complaints about the hot temp of the coffee. They then discovered that McD's executives even had a meeting on it and decided not to change anything. The old lady's attorneys were then able to prove that the company knew they had a problem and then made the decision not to do anything about...thus, Corporate Negligence.

    Moral of the story, never keep the minutes of your corporate meetings... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />
