Is there any company that makes self ejecting floppy drives? (like a Macs drive). For a pc besides a superdisk drive?

No, I looked into this once before, and the only way to get this is by using an LS-120 (now replaced be LS-240 by Panasonic!)

No, a Mac and a PC FDD are not interchangeable. The Mac uses a different controller and wiring setup.
I would say though, anybody with too much time could make a self-ejecting floppy. Use the control lines from the second floppy (which no one ever uses anymore) to run a small motor to disengage the trigger and eject the diskette).

I've only seen the LS-120 ones doing that.

I have never seen one. I don't even have a floppy drive installed on my computer anymore. I am sure some others do the same as me. If in the rarity I use a floppy I'll pop open the case and attatch it quick. (of course I'd power down first)

It started when I had a full tower case with an 18 inch cable to get to the FDD. It just didn't work. So that computer didn't have a floppy. Now I just don't use them. Its sorta habbit forming. I do have other computers on the network that have one. The only time I needed it was to install the Nic card drivers

Same here ... don't really use a floppy these days as I just end up emailing files around. In fact, I'd probably have a hard time trying to find a floppy disk!
Come to think of it, now that all our floppy disks have been replaced by CDs/DVDs, I wonder what will replace these? Maybe the 'net is already starting to do that?

Probably any USB Floppy drive because Macs need to lock the Floppy when inserted. But who wants to pay 50+ bucks for a floppy drive?
LS-120 is the only one that I know of for internal drives however

Going off the subject, my LPT zip drive does that, every time I reboot 95, really gets on my nerves, because then I have to get up and put it back again. It's a hard life.
I'm in charge and I say we blow it up
