I'm looking to go dual in a few months, how stable do you find the AMD chips in SMP? I was personaly looking at the P3 tuluation core (512k cache). I'd just like your opinion on how well things worked out for you

I'm real happy with the setup. I had a dual PIII and this rig just craps all over that. Not to mention, XP Pro is sweet. I haven't had even 1 issue yet. If you want to spend the money, I think it's worth it. BTW, if you are interested go to micropro.com or call them at 1 888-441-0321 and ask for Tony ( ext. 230 ). This guy is on top of it. And he'll put a package together for you and make you a good deal on it.
Good Luck n' have fun.

Thanx for the heads up, I'll probably buy localy - sending money down to the states is against my religion
The price however will be the same for me either way. The AMD will require new RAM, where the P3 rig won't. cost of ram = price difference between CPU's. I just wish someone would put up some benchmarks...

Thanx for the link.. I'll probably go with intel though, cheaper upgrade. AMD would require new RAM and new Powersupply, that more than ofsets the price of the CPU.
