    Question Control Panel icons

    hi,
    most of the icons in my control panel (winXP) have disappeared in a mysterious way
    any way i can return them and choose which icons i want and which i dont ?

    If your icons were replaced by "Common Tasks" you can revert to icons by clicking on tools/folder options/Use Windows Classic Folders

    If your icons are actually disappearing I don't know what to tell you. As far as replacing them only with icons you want, it can be done, it may be in the XP Power Toys if there are any or you could search <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/technet" target="_blank">www.microsoft.com/technet</a> for a way to do this.

    i've solved the problem using the TweakUI utility from microsoft
