downgrade nvidia driver?

how do i change my nvidia geforce2 driver from the 21.82 that came with xp to the 12.41 (or whatever the driver versions are), i have uninstalled the driver and then i have to restart to be able to install a driver but xp automatically puts the driver back. i run the 12.xx exe and it runs through wants to restart and so i do but when it comes back it still has the other drivers.

please help me

well just to your inf folder in your windows directory and delete the inf files for the video card and "boom" windows wont install the drivers for you automatically because it wont have the dirvers. but just make sure you dont delete the wrong one.
