problem uninstalling XP
the o/s doesn't appear in the remove programs list
is there any other way i can uninstall Windows XP?

Did you load it over win98???Win ME???
If you did, it should have given you the option to save your old OS to the tune of about 200Meg. If you chose not to save it, there isn't anything you can do. If you did, you should see it under the "Add/Remove" section in the control panel.
Note: To correct display problems, hold the "ALT"key and press"F4".

If you upgraded over 2K, then there will be no uninstall option. If you upgraded over 98/ME, there SHOULD be an uninstall option, as that's a setup default. But if not, then again, there's nothing you can do about it, aside from starting all over again.

If you upgraded, start over...
