    Angry Noisy (whistling) hard disk

Ive had the computer im using now for about a year and up until recently (i now keep the case cover off for cooling) ive never noticed the annoying whistling my hard disk produces.

It seems to be a constant humming as soon as i turn the power on.

I only really noticed it when i realised how quiet other peoples comps were at a lan i was recently at (most of there covers were off too btw)

so has anyone got any ideas or remedies?

Well.. This is common on some Hard Drives.
After some time, they start to produce that whistling noise.

That's because of their mechanic parts' physical damage through the time.

If the noise becomes louder and more annoying you should backup your data and consider HDD replacement.
