Arrow Question about password protected sites

I have a drop down box link that goes to a site that is password protected, does anyone know if there is a way to embede the user name & password into the link??? I don't care if the source code can be viewed and the password is exposed, I just don't want folks to have to type it in.

    Thanks
    Steven Henry

The passward was probably created using a .htaccess file. So there is no way to change it.

Just create a new .htaccess file and without a need for any password and put it in that directory.
The new file will overide the old one from the directory it's placed in and down the dierctory tree.
